🇺🇦 Today, we celebrate Ukrainian Constitution Day! 📜✨

On this special occasion, let us honor the principles that make Ukraine a sovereign, independent, and democratic state.

The Constitution of Ukraine was adopted by the Verkhovna Rada on June 28, 1996, after deputies had worked all day and all night on the project, remaining in the session hall without breaks. 315 people's deputies, out of a needed 300, voted for the adoption of the Basic Law.

Since that day The Constitution of Ukraine guarantees the fundamental rights and liberties of every Ukrainian citizen. It consists of the democratic principles that bind Ukrainians together as a nation and empower them to shape their collective future. On that day, 27 years ago Ukrainians claimed the democratic vector of development of Ukrainian society.

Ukrainians stand proud, united, and resilient. They have faced challenges throughout history, but they have always defended their land, values, and right to self-determination. Today, they reaffirm their unwavering resolve and fight to preserve their sovereignty and independence.

We remember that there are parts of Ukraine that remain occupied. We cannot forget the struggles of Ukrainians in Crimea and other occupied regions since 2014 when Russia invaded Ukraine for the first time and since 2022 when Putin started the full-scale invasion. We believe they will be liberated soon.

The democratic world has to support Ukrainians in their fight for a free, sovereign, independent, brighter, and more prosperous Ukraine. Together, we will overcome any obstacles and build a better tomorrow for all.

Happy Ukrainian Constitution Day! 🇺🇦
