Wladimir Klitschko Endorses Operation Ukraine AirLIFT

For the Klitschko brothers, neither championing Ukraine nor standing firm against an opponent is new. Wladimir Klitschko has always advocated for Ukraine and has twice held the world heavyweight championship. Vitali Klitschko serves as mayor of Kyiv, a transition from his own professional boxing career. However, they now do both at the same time—and with the highest stakes—as members and leaders of the Kyiv Territorial Defense Unit.

While these heroes defend Ukraine, they recognize Ukraine’s need for broader support, and they have passed on the call to Western world. Emergency medical support and access to short-supply medicines and technologies remain among the people of Ukraine’s most critical needs, drawing Wladimir Klitschko’s support of Operation Ukraine AirLIFT.

“We need to be more united and protect each other and protect our interests, protect our democracy that we’ve been fighting for and developing in the Western world. I believe this unity will give us enormous strength,” says Wladimir.
