Star of Ukraine 2023 recipients:

   Modesto, CA
   Organized fundraising efforts with the Modesto Sister City of Khmelnytskyi, raising over $75,000 for a children's hospital generator and medical supplies.
2. Christie Arnell
   Dallas, TX
   Founder of Ukraine Unlimited, supporting displaced Ukrainians with food, medicines, and economic assistance. Initially focused on helping women sell handmade products.
3. Brigadier General Mark Arnold (Ret.)
   Columbus, OH
   Retired U.S. Army General, established the Frontline Medical Ukraine Fund to deliver medical training and supplies. Volunteered on the front lines in Ukraine to train medics after Russia’s invasion.
4. Andrew Bain
   Cary, NC
   Principal founder of the Ukraine Freedom Fund (UFF), established in 2014 in response to Russia’s invasion of Crimea and Donbas, raising $580,000 for humanitarian efforts. Reactivated in 2022 to support Ukrainian defense forces and civilians in affected areas.
5. Senator Tom Brewer
   Omaha, NE
   Traveled to Ukraine for humanitarian missions and funded efforts to help youth, displaced families, and medical supplies. Advocates for decisive U.S. support for Ukraine.
6. Suzy DeYoung
   Cincinnati, OH
   Founder of La Soupe, organized a fundraising dinner with proceeds supporting Ukrainians, focusing on food and medical supplies.
7. Christopher Freisinger
   OR, USA
   Full-time volunteer with KidSave in Ukraine since April 2022, driving truckloads of essential supplies across the border, training drivers in first aid, and seeking European donors.
8. Craig Gresbrink
   San Marcos, CA
   Organized rallies, warehouse efforts, and flag displays to advocate for Ukraine. Participated in numerous advocacy initiatives, including Congressional outreach.
9. Miguel Guerra
   Cary, NC
   Organized a campaign that collected 73 million airline miles and monetary donations, providing flights to safety for over 2,000 displaced Ukrainians and their pets.
10. Todd and Mary Heistand
    Woodbine, IA
    Sponsored a Ukrainian family to relocate to Woodbine and funded multiple initiatives for displaced individuals and local resettlement.
11. Donald and Johanna Hoffman
    Supported critical regions of Ukraine by providing food, medical aid for families and animals, organizing camps for children, and purchasing hospital equipment.
12. Winnie Huang
    Los Angeles, CA
    Raised substantial donations, provided aid, and worked with multiple organizations. Sponsored the War Up Close Immersive Exhibit.
13. Nicole Jones Senftleben
    Rochester, NY
    Volunteered with RocMaidan, shipping medical supplies to Ukraine since 2014. Contributed significantly to humanitarian aid.
14. Josh Levine
    San Diego, CA
    U.S. Marine Corps veteran, provided direct aid through the House of Ukraine, and founded the nonprofit Shield of Freedom.
15. Brian R. McMurray
    Brentwood, TN
    Contributed significantly to developing Ukraine's emergency medical care system. Conducted classes for Ukrainian doctors in advanced emergency care methods such as blood transfusions and intraosseous access. Represents Ukraine at international medical conferences.
16. Annunciation Church Parishioners
    Washington, D.C.
    Gather weekly in front of the Russian Embassy to pray the Rosary for Peace for Ukraine, even in adverse weather, for over 92 weeks.
17. Mitzi Perdue
    MD, USA
    War correspondent who auctioned her engagement ring to fund shelters in Ukraine and donated patrol boats to Ukrainian police. Advocated for demining efforts.
18. Rotary Club
    Wilmington, DE
    Raised nearly $300,000 for Ukraine-related humanitarian efforts, partnered with Ukrainian Rotary District 2232, and funded various projects.
