FOUN’s National Security Task Force has published its “Priority Recommendations for U.S. Assistance to Ukraine 2021” The Task Force is chaired by Ambassador John Herbst, former United States Ambassador to Ukraine (2003-2006) and now Director of the Atlantic Council’s Eurasia Center.
Members of the Task Force are Dr. Stephen Blank, Senior Expert, U.S. Institute for Peace; General Philip Breedlove, USAF (Ret.) Former Supreme Allied Commander Europe; Ian Brzezinski, Former Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Europe and NATO Policy; Debra Cagan, Former Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense; General Wesley Clark, USA (Ret.) Former Supreme Allied Commander Europe; Lt. General Ben Hodges, Former Commanding General United States Army Europe, now at CEPA; Glen Howard, President, Jamestown Foundation; Dr. Donald Jensen, Director, Russian & Strategic Stability, U.S. Institute for Peace; Dr. Phillip Karber, President, Potomac Foundation; Robert McConnell, R.A. McConnell & Associates; Herman Pirchner, President, American Foreign Policy Council; and Ambassador Sandy Vershbow, Former NATO Deputy Secretary General and Former Ambassador to the Russian Federation.
This year’s edition of the Task Force’s recommendations include recommendations for immediate action, longer-term action and itemized priority needs for Congress to address.
